 Anti-Human C4

DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: This antibody reacts with human C4, C4b, and C4c but does not react with the C4d epitope. Traces of contaminating antibodies have been removed by solid phase absorption with human plasma proteins. This antibody is well suited for tissue section staining but may also be used for other applications.

This antibody should be used in conjunction with a panel of antibodies to aid in the identification of C4c fragment in target tissue (e.g., in the diagnosis of renal or dermal pathologies).

The interpretation of the results should be always corroborated with those of external controls and integrated with the morphological and clinical aspects for the final diagnosis.

 Anti-Human Fibrinogen

DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: Sheep anti Human fibrinogen antibody recognizes human fibrinogen, a complex ~340kDa heterohexameric (ditrimeric) glycoprotein consisting of 3 pairs of α, β and γ chains linked by a series of 29 disulphide bonds. The six chains are arranged in such a way that all the N-Terminal ends adjoin to form a central E domain with two trimeric coiled coil structures connecting to outer D domains. Fibrinogen plays an important role in the coagulation process with the D and E domains interacting via the C Terminal ends of the α chains during fibrin clot cross-linking. Sheep anti human fibrinogen antibody shows minimal cross-reactivity with related serum proteins. Fibrinogen has been identified as a ferritin binding protein in the horse. Sheep anti human fibrinogen antibody has been successfully as a capture reagent for ferritin – anti ferritin IgG complexes in horse plasma to evaluate theantibody response to ferritin by ELISA

DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: Ig alpha is the major immunoglobulin class in body secretions. It may serve both to defend against local infection and to prevent access of foreign antigens to the general immunologic system. It is present abundantly in mucous linings of gastrointestinal, respiratory and genitourinary tracts, tears and saliva but not in plasma.

This antibody should be used in conjunction with a panel of antibodies to aid in the identification of immunoglobulin A in target tissue (e.g., in the diagnosis of renal or dermal pathologies).

 Anti-Human Kappa Light Chain

DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: Anti-Human Kappa Light Chain (Bound and Free)−FITC antibody is specific for human kappa light chain when tested against purified bound kappa light chain (human IgA, IgG, and IgM) and free kappa light chain (Bence Jones Kappa myeloma protein). The conjugate shows no reaction with bound or free lambda light chains. Mammalian antibodies contain one of two types of light chain, called kappa or lamba. Each chain contains a constant and a variable domain. Mammalian antibodies contain either two kappa or two lambda light chains.

Anti-Human Lambda Light Chain

 DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS:

All five immunoglobulin classes share the same basic four polypeptide chain structure of two heavy-chains and two light chains. There are five heavy chain types, and two light-chain types (Kappa and Lambda) both having a molecular weight of 22.5kDa. Any heavy-chain type can associate with either light-chain type, but on any immunoglobulin molecule both light-chains are of the same type. Kappa and Lambda consist of a variable region and a constant region and can easily be differentiated by the antigenic properties of the constant region. The ratio of Kappa to Lambda is 70:30 , the vast majority of which is bound to heavy-chain in immunoglobulin. In normal individuals low levels of free light-chain arepresent in serum (kappa, 1.6-15.2 mg/L; Lambda, 0.4-4.2mg/L), with the occurrence of multiple myeloma or other B-cell malignancies these levels can be greatly elevated and can be found at high levels in the urine (Bence-Jones proteins).
